San Francisquito Creek Bridge Construction Update (State Route 101)
San Mateo/Santa Clara Counties July 13-24 (Monday-Friday)
July 13, 2015 Monday (night work)
Placing k-rail on southbound Route 101 between University Avenue & Embarcadero Road on the west side of the highway. Various lanes closed between 9:00 PM 5:00 AM (expect minor delays)
July 14 -17 Tuesday-Friday (day work) - Install creek diversion accessing the downstream area of the creek from East Bayshore, expect minor delays due to material delivery. Flaggers on East Bayshore Road during the day.
On mainline Route 101 (starting Tuesday) Begin prep work on southbound 101 behind K-rail for bridge demolition work.
July 15 -16 Wednesday-Thursday (night work) Roadway Asphalt Grinding, various southbound lanes, behind k-rail. Expect some noise from this operation. 9:00 PM to 5:00 PM
July 20 -24 Monday-Friday (day work) Excavation of bridge supports, southbound Route 101 behind the k-rail.
NOTE: Residents may notice increased noise from demolition equipment and mandatory backup alarms while the contractor is working in the construction zone.
This work is part of the San Francisquito Creek Bridge Replacement to be completed in the spring of 2018.
