Pavement Rehabilitation Project
Overnight Lane Closures
Starts Tuesday, August 1, 2017

SOLANO COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to start construction of the State Route 113 (SR-113) Dixon Pavement Rehabilitation Project.

The project repairs potholes, repaves and rehabilitates northbound and southbound SR-113 between Vaughn Road and just south of H Street in the City of Dixon.

The work is scheduled to start Tuesday, August 1, 2017 and may be completed as early as September 2017.

Although no full highway closures are scheduled, motorists may experience delays as crews repave SR-113 with intermittent overnight lane closures. Work is weather permitting.

To ensure worker and public safety, one of the two northbound lanes and one of the two southbound lanes may be periodically closed overnight starting August 1.

One lane northbound and one lane southbound will remain open during construction.

General work hours will be Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following mornings.

Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

State Route 84-Real McCoy Ferry
Overnight Maintenance Closure
Starts Thursday, July 27 at 10:00 PM

SOLANO COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled an overnight closure of the Real McCoy Ferry on State Route (SR-84) to perform regular preventive maintenance.

The closure is scheduled starting Thursday, July 27 at 10:00 PM and will be completed by Friday, July 28 at 5:00 AM.

During the overnight closure of the Real McCoy Ferry, motorists traveling overnight between Ryer Island and Solano and Sacramento Counties are advised to use either the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 (SR-220) or the Miner Slough Bridge on SR-84 as a detour.

Overnight Ramp Closures
Pavement Rehabilitation
Starts Friday, August 6, 2017

NAPA COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) working closely with the City of Napa will rehabilitate and repave Lincoln Avenue at State Route 29 (SR-29) in Napa.

The work is scheduled during five consecutive nights starting Sunday, August 6, 2017 until Friday, August 12, 2017. Work will start at 8:00 PM each night until 4:00 AM the following mornings. All work is weather permitting.

To ensure public and worker safety, the northbound Lincoln Avenue onramp and offramp will be closed during the work.

Northbound and southbound Lincoln Avenue across SR-29 will also be closed.
Detour signs will be posted.

New Green Valley Road Traffic Lanes
To Open Saturday, July 15, 2017

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) are scheduled to open the new permanent traffic lanes on Green Valley Road between Business Center Drive and Lopes Road in Fairfield this weekend.

The work is part of Package 1 of the I-80/I-680/SR-12 Interchange Project.

Green Valley Road Overnight Closures
To ensure worker and public safety, motorists may encounter periodic overnight closures of Green Valley Road near Business Center Drive as crews switch traffic from the existing temporary traffic lanes on Green Valley Road to the final permanent traffic lanes.

Overnight periodic closures of Green Valley Road are scheduled Friday, July 14 starting at 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM Saturday, July 15. Watch for detour signs and flaggers.

Once the switch is completed the morning of Saturday, July 15, motorists traveling on northbound Green Valley Road at Business Center Drive will benefit from five new northbound traffic lanes which will include multiple left turn lanes onto Business Center Drive. Motorists traveling on southbound Green Valley Road will benefit from three southbound traffic lanes.

Motorists are advised to travel with caution as they adjust to the new traffic lanes.

SOLANO COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to start construction of the State Route 12 (SR-12) Fairfield-Suisun Rehabilitation Project next week. The project rehabilitates and repaves 6-miles of eastbound and westbound SR-12 between Chadbourne Road in Fairfield and Lawler Ranch Parkway in Suisun City.

The work is scheduled to start the week of July 18, 2017 and be completed by November 2017.

Although no full highway closures are scheduled, motorsists may experience delays as crews repave SR-12 with intermittent overnight alternating lane closures. Work is weather permitting.

One-Way Traffic Controls for Preventive Maintenance
Expect Nighttime Delays
Starts Friday, July 14 at 7:00 PM

SOLANO AND SACRAMENTO COUNTIES— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform preventive maintenance on the bridge deck of the Rio Vista Bridge on State Route 12 (SR-12) between Solano and Sacramento Counties.

The work is scheduled Friday, July 14 starting at 7:00 PM and will completed by 2:00 AM on Saturday, July 15. All work is weather permitting.

To ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect. Crews will alternate lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions. This will allow one lane on the bridge to remain open during the work. Flaggers will help direct traffic.

Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

Advance Notice Require for Boats and Ships
For boat and ship traffic along the Sacramento River, vessels are required to give Caltrans Staff at the Rio Vista Bridge one-hour advance notice for an opening of the bridge during the work.

Green Valley Road Overnight Weekend Closures

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) are completing paving work related to the Interstate 80/Interstate 680/State Route 12 (I-80/I-680/SR-12) Interchange Project in Fairfield.

Westbound I-80 Onramp from Green Valley Road- Closed Overnight
For worker and public safety, the onramp to westbound I-80 from Green Valley Road will be closed two consecutive nights. The onramp will be closed Friday, July 7 at 10:00 PM until Saturday, July 8 at 6:00 AM. The onramp will also be closed Saturday, July 8 at 10:00 PM until Sunday July 9 at 6:00 AM.

Eastbound I-80 Onramp and Offramp at Green Valley Road-Closed Overnight
The onramp and offramp to and from eastbound I-80 from Green Valley Road will be closed Sunday, July 9 at 8:00 PM until Monday, July 10 at 5:00 AM.

Green Valley Road Closed between Lopes Road and Business Center Drive
Northbound and Southbound Green Valley Road will also be closed between Lopes Road and Business Center Drive. Green Valley Road starting Sunday, July 9 at 8:00 PM until Monday, July 10 at 5:00 AM. Detour signs will be posted. Expect delays. All work is weather permitting.

Additional Traffic Lanes Coming to Green Valley Road near I-80
Caltrans is working to complete final paving of the new northbound and southbound lanes on Green Valley Road and multiple exits on Green Valley Road from I-80.

Once completed, a total of five northbound traffic lanes and three southbound traffic lanes on Green Valley Road near Business Center Drive will be open. Crews will begin striping the new lanes the week of July 24.

J-Mack Ferry-Preventive Maintenance
Weekend Morning Closure
Sunday, July 9, 2017 starting at 5:00 AM

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily close the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 (SR-220) in the Delta early Sunday morning.

The J-Mack is scheduled to close starting Sunday, July 9 at 5:00 AM until 12:00 PM that same day. Caltrans will perform preventive maintenance.

The J-Mack Ferry runs on a cable across Steamboat Slough between Ryer Island in Solano County and Sacramento County. And provides around the clock service on SR-220.

During the closure, motorists are advised to use the Real McCoy Ferry, also known as the Cache Slough Ferry along State Route 84.

Crews Starting Work on State Highway 160 in Delta Region
Traffic Delays Expected Through Summer


SACRAMENTO COUNTY– Caltrans announced today that Motorists should prepare for overnight construction activity and lane restrictions through the summer on segments of State Highway 160 in South Sacramento County in the Delta region.

Construction crews will be working seven days a week from West Sherman Island Road to State Highway 12 through July 31.

Motorists can expect overnight alternating lane restrictions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Fridays through Sundays.

The first traffic-interfering work will begin on Thursday, July 6 when crews begin grinding off the old pavement for northbound and southbound lanes.

The work is first phase of a $4 million project to resurface areas of State Highway 160 to south of Walnut Grove. Other work includes replacing electrical loops, crack sealing, metal beam guardrail repairs, and striping.
