State Route 29-Channelization Project-Napa County
Updates Week starting Monday, July 13
NAPA COUNTY – Caltrans and its local stakeholders have started construction of the State Route 29 (SR-29) Channelization Project in and near St. Helena in Napa County.
Construction- Updates Week of July 13
Major construction started in June 2015 and will be completed in 2017.
No work is scheduled on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12.
Daytime work-starting Monday, July 13
During the week starting Monday, July 13 until Friday, July 17, crews will continue daytime installation of drainage systems adjacent to the roadway on northbound SR-29. Daytime operations will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00AM until 3:30PM. No lane closures are scheduled for daytime work. PG&E will also perform daytime work related to the project.
Nighttime work-starting Tuesday, July 14
Starting Tuesday, July 14 until Friday, July 17 crews will begin nighttime asphalt paving on the shoulder of northbound SR-29 from Mee Lane to Zinfandel Lane. Nighttime operations will occur Tuesday through Friday from 7:00PM until 6:00AM the following mornings. Motorists may encounter delays as crews alternate northbound and southbound traffic on SR-29 onto one lane through the construction zone. Motorists should watch for flaggers. CHP will assist with directing traffic.
