STATE ROUTE 237 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT

Santa Clara County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is currently grinding and paving a portion of State Route 237 from North Fair Oaks Avenue in Sunnyvale to North First Street overcrossing in San Jose.

The project will also install electrical loop systems on various ramps. The project is expected to be completed in November, 2015.

There will be intermittent ramp lane and ramp closures throughout the project; however, Caltrans will never close two consecutive ramp. The work schedule starts on Sunday evenings no earlier than 7:00 p.m. and ends by 5:00 a.m. on Friday mornings. Caltrans will provide at least one open lane at all times.

The schedule for next week is as follows:

Sunday 9/27 (7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Eastbound SR-237

Monday 9/28 (8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Eastbound SR-237

Tuesday 9/29 (8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Westbound SR-237

Wednesday 9/30 (8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Eastbound SR-237

Thursday 10/1 (8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Westbound SR-237


There will be some noise during the grinding operation; however, it will be kept within approved construction noise levels.
