Interstate 680 - Rehabilitation Project
Between Fairfield and Benicia-Update September 20 – September 25
Northbound I-680 Paving Work

SOLANO COUNTY – Caltrans is continuing construction of the Interstate 680 (I-680) Rehabilitation Project in Solano County which will rehabilitate and repave approximately 13 miles of northbound and southbound I-680 between Fairfield and Benicia.

Although no full highway closures are scheduled at this time, motorists may experience delays as crews work to repave I-680 with intermittent, overnight, alternating ramp and lane closures. Specific ramp closure and detour signs will be posted. All work is weather permitting. The project will be completed as early as spring 2016.

I-680 Construction - Sunday September 20 until Friday September 25
Starting Sunday September 20 until Friday September 25 crews are scheduled to resume paving work on northbound I-680 nightly, Mondays through Fridays, between Fairfield and Benicia.

Motorists should drive with caution as they may encounter some uneven sections of roadway as construction continues.

To ensure worker and public safety, one of the two traffic lanes on northbound
I-680 between Fairfield & Benicia will be closed nightly, Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 PM until 4:00 AM the following mornings.

Final paving work on southbound I-680 will resume at a later date.
