FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Real McCoy and J-Mack Ferries
Returned to Service
Heavy Storm Current Subsides
SOLANO COUNTY– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) returned both the Real McCoy and the J-Mack ferries to service on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
The Real McCoy Ferry on State Route 84 (SR-84) and the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 (SR-220) had been closed since the week of February 10, 2017 due to heavy currents caused by this month’s storms and runoff in the Delta region.
Caltrans determined the current and conditions at landing sites on Ryer Island affecting both ferries are now low enough to restore service.
