FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 29-Troutdale Creek Bridge
Between Calistoga and Middletown
Temporary Traffic Switch-Watch for New Configuration
Starts October 9 at 4:00 PM

NAPA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is continuing with construction of the State Route 29 (SR-29)-Troutdale Creek Bridge Replacement Project in northwest Napa County between Calistoga and Middletown.

To ensure worker and public safety, Caltrans is temporarily changing the configuration of temporary concrete barriers along State Route 29 (SR-29) approaching and over the new Troutdale Creek Bridge.

Temporary Traffic Signal Light-Activated
Motorists on SR-29 will be routed onto a temporary traffic configuration across the new Troutdale Bridge. However, motorists approaching the bridge on SR-29 will still encounter traffic signal lights. The temporary configuration will start at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 9 and will be in effect until further notice.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time, and watch for the temporary signal light, and new lane configuration. Please #BeWorkZoneAlert.

SR-29 Troutdale Creek Bridge Project
Caltrans will replace the existing Troutdale Creek Bridge with a new bridge and widen the northbound and southbound SR-29 bridge approaches. The existing bridge must be replaced because of years of wear at its base from the Troutdale Creek. The bridge approaches will also be realigned to conform to the new bridge, and improve sight-lines for motorists. The project is scheduled to be completed as early as late 2016.
