FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Full Closure of State Route 84 – Niles Canyon in Sunol
Saturday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Alameda County – Caltrans in conjunction with California Highway Patrol and Alameda County Sheriff Department has issued a full closure of State Route 84 (SR-84) between Mission Blvd/SR-238 and Main Street in Alameda County on Saturday, January 28 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Detours are the following:
• Fremont – continue to southbound Mission Blvd/SR-238 to northbound I-680
• Sunol – continue southbound I-680 to southbound SR-238/Mission Blvd.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and encouraged to take alternate routes if necessary and also that traffic fines are doubled in construction zones.
