Interstate 880-23rd/29th Street Project Lane Closure
OAKLAND, ALAMEDA COUNTY – Caltrans will begin the concrete deck pour for the new the 29th Avenue Overcrossing on the night of January 25, 2017 until the morning of January 26, 2017. The work will be completed overnight on varies lanes, in both directions of Interstate 880 (I-880). These lane closures are essential to perform the work safely.
Hours and detour plan are as follows:
• Northbound (NB) and Southbound (SB) I-880 closure with various lanes will be closed from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• NB I-880, 29th Avenue onramp will be closed.
Detour for Northbound 880 from 29th Avenue is as follows:
Follow detour signs to take the NB 23rd Avenue onramp. Turn right onto 29th Avenue, turn left at East 12th Street, and turn left again at East 22nd Avenue

Motorists should drive with caution through the work zone. Traffic fines are doubled in construction zones.
