SOLANO COUNTY– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has suspended service of the Real McCoy and the J-Mack ferries until further notice.

The Real McCoy Ferry on State Route 84 (SR-84) and the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 (SR-220) will be closed until further notice due to heavy current caused by this month’s storms and runoff in the Delta region.

Caltrans is monitoring the current and conditions at landing sites on Ryer Island affecting both ferries and will make an announcement once service can be restored.

During the closure of the Real McCoy and J-Mack ferries, motorists are advised to use the Miner’s Slough Bridge on SR-84 as a detour when traveling between Ryer Island and Sacramento and Solano Counties.

For the latest information, call the Caltrans Ferry Update Line at (510) 622-0120.
