January 2017 through March 2017

Alameda County, Calif. – Caltrans is conducting work to upgrade curb ramps and sidewalks for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance improvements along State Route 13 (SR-13) / Ashby Avenue in Berkeley, Alameda County. The work takes place at 15 locations between Shattuck Avenue and 7th Street along SR-13 / Ashby Avenue. During the week of February 21-24, construction is anticipated at: SR-13 between California Street and King Street and SR-13 west of Acton Street. Work is not scheduled for Monday February 20.

Signage will provide 72-hour notice prior to any parking restrictions. Work will be conducted in phases at individual locations. Weather permitting, work will be conducted according to the schedule below:

• Work impacting the eastbound parking lane will take place from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM weekdays (Monday through Friday).

• Work impacting the westbound parking lane will take place from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM weekdays (Monday through Friday). Occasional Saturday work will take place from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
