State Route 29 - Channelization Project - Napa County
Utility Work-Traffic Shift - Expect Delays
Friday, August 14
6:00 AM - 8:30 PM

NAPA COUNTY – Caltrans and its local stakeholders are working closely with local utility companies on the construction of the State Route 29 (SR-29) Channelization Project in and near St. Helena in Napa County.

As part of the preliminary work on the project, utility gas line relocation is scheduled on Friday, August 14 starting at 6:00 AM until 8:30 PM. The undergrounding of the gas lines along SR-29 will conducted by PG&E.

Temporary Traffic Shift - August 14
For worker and public safety during the work, traffic lanes on northbound and southbound SR-29 will be slightly shifted near SR-29 at Inglewood Avenue, and SR-29 at Charter Oak Avenue on Friday, August 14.

The northbound SR-29 traffic lane and southbound SR-29 traffic lane will remain open. However, motorists may encounter delays while flaggers intermittently slow traffic for local access at various locations during the temporary traffic shift.

All work is weather permitting. Motorists should drive with caution, watch for flaggers, and expect delays.
