State Route 29 - Channelization Project - Napa County
Updates August 28 until September 4

NAPA COUNTY – Caltrans and local stakeholders are continuing construction of the State Route 29 (SR-29) Channelization Project in and near St. Helena in Napa County.

Daytime work - starting Friday August 28
Crews are scheduled to perform limited work for the week starting August 28 until September 4.

Daytime operations will consist of PG&E performing re-striping work on State Route 29 (SR-29) on Wednesday, September 2. Hours of work are scheduled starting at 6:00AM until 6:00PM. Work will be performed under a lane shift.

*A lane shift occurs when crews slightly shift the location of a traffic lane to perform work in an existing lane. Watch for shifts in the route which are clearly marked.

Railroad signal relocation operations will be performed at the following railroad crossings: Whitehall, Zinfandel, and Stice. Hours of work are scheduled starting at 7:00AM until 5:00PM. Work will be performed with shoulder closures only.

Site maintenance work will be performed from 7:00AM until 3:30PM from Mee Lane to Stice Lane. This work will not require any type of closures. No nighttime work is scheduled starting August 28 until September 4.

*Major roadwork requiring lane closures will be restricted during the harvest season period starting August 15 and ending October 15. PG&E, railroad signal relocation work and maintenance and site cleanup work will continue throughout this period.
