FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

One-Way Traffic Control to Begin for State Route 1 Projects

Marin and Sonoma Counties – On Monday, June 16, Caltrans will begin installation of a traffic signal on State Route 1 at Cypress Road near Point Reyes Station in Marin County. When the signal is installed, one-way traffic control will be in effect this summer and fall during construction of a slope repair project.

On Wednesday, July 18, Caltrans will re-energize the traffic signal on State Route 1 south of Fort Ross in Sonoma County.  One-way traffic control will be in effect for about five months for a rock slope protection project east of the highway.

Please drive cautiously through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
