FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 121-Napa County
Highway Closed
Between Wooden Valley Road and Vichy Avenue
Until Further Notice
Due to Rock Slide

NAPA COUNTY— State Route 121 (SR-121) remains closed between Wooden Valley Road and Vichy Avenue in rural Napa County until further notice due to a fatal accident reportedly caused by a rock slide.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes. There is no immediate detour as the highway is located in a mountainous area between the City of Napa and Lake Berryessa.

The highway will remain closed until geologists from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) can determine the stability of the hillside above the highway and determine when it is safe to reopen the highway to live traffic.
