Caltrans and City of Vallejo Partner in Major Maintenance Effort
Eastbound Interstate 80 Between Georgia Street and Highway 37
                                           Onramp Closures During Landscape & Litter Effort

  

SOLANO COUNTY – Caltrans and the City of Vallejo join forces in a major landscaping and litter abatement effort on eastbound Interstate 80 from the Georgia Street exit to the Interstate 80/Highway 37 interchange. 

The four-day major maintenance effort starts Monday, December 9th and concludes on Friday, December 13th.  Work starts each day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. Work is weather permitting.  

Crews from Caltrans, the City of Vallejo, and other area agencies will trim-back overgrown trees, clear storm drains, weed, mow and clear-out trash and debris along  eastbound I-80 and adjacent onramps.

This is the sixth phase of a key partnership among Caltrans, the City, and several area agencies to beautify main entrances and thoroughfares in Vallejo through the “Vallejo Interagency Partnership” (VIP) program.

Motorists using the following onramps and offramps from eastbound I-80 may experience or encounter ramp closures and detours starting Monday, December 9th
until Friday, December 13th:

Eastbound I-80 exit and onramp from Georgia Street
Eastbound I-80 exit and onramp from Solano Avenue/Springs Avenue
Eastbound I-80 exit and onramp from Tennessee Street
Eastbound I-80 exit and onramp from Redwood Street
