State Route 12-Rio Vista Bridge
One-Way Traffic Controls-Preventive Maintenance
Expect Nighttime Delays
Saturday June 24, 2017

SOLANO AND SACRAMENTO COUNTIES – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform preventive maintenance on the bridge deck of the Rio Vista Bridge on State Route 12 (SR-12) between Solano and Sacramento Counties.

The work is scheduled, Saturday, June 24 starting at 8:00 PM and will be completed by 8:00 AM on Sunday, June 25. All work is weather permitting.

To ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect. Crews will alternate lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions. This will allow one lane on the bridge to remain open during the work. Flaggers will help direct traffic.

Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

Advance Notice Required to Boats and Ships
For boat and ship traffic along the Sacramento River, vessels are required to give Caltrans Staff at the Rio Vista Bridge one-hour advance notice for an opening of the bridge during the work.

Caltrans thanks you for your patience as we work to maintain California’s highways and bridges. Please #BeWorkZoneAlert.
