One-Way Traffic Control on State Highway 128



Napa– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be conducting a tree removal project on Highway 128 near the Moskowitz Reservoir. The project begins at Sage Canyon Road and ends at Capell Valley Road.

The project begins on October 01, 2012 and will continue Monday through Friday for approximately 5 to 7 days. The hours of operation will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Traffic delays are anticipated, and the use of alternate routes is advised when possible. Motorists are also advised that traffic violations in construction zones are subject to double fines. Please remember to “Slow For The Cone Zone”. Caltrans would like to thank you for your patience as we work to improve California’s highways.





There will be one-way traffic control during operation.

                Overnight Lane Closures For Week of September 30th

NAPA AND SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), and the Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency (NCTPA) are continuing earthwork as they work to widen Highway 12 through Jameson Canyon in Napa and Solano Counties.

One-Way Traffic Controls
To ensure worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on
Highway 12 between Highway 29 and Red Top Road beginning Sunday,
September 30th at 10 p.m. and be completed on Saturday, October 6th at 5 a.m. Lane closures will start each night Sunday through Friday at 10 p.m. and conclude the following morning at 5 a.m.

During one-way traffic controls, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times with flaggers alternating eastbound and westbound traffic.

All work is weather permitting.  Motorists should allow for extra travel time.

 Caltrans Scheduled Lane Closures for Sonoma County During  The Week of September 24, 2012

Sonoma County – Here are the planned Caltrans lane closures in Sonoma County for the week of September 24. All closures are weather dependent and subject to change.


State Highway 1

One way traffic control from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. between Shotgun Point and Sea Walk Drive Monday and Tuesday.

State Highway 128

One way traffic control starting at the west end of Geyserville Bridge, and continuing one-quarter mile east, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.


U.S. Route 121

One way traffic control from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from 3.5 miles north of Highway 37 junction to just south of the Highway West 116 junction Monday through Friday.


U.S. Route 101

Various lanes closed from Rohnert Park Expressway to Santa Rosa Avenue from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Various lanes closed northbound between Petaluma River Bridge and Lynch Creek Road beginning at 11:00 pm ending at 6:00 am Wednesday through Friday.

Southbound 101, between the Highway 128 on ramp and the Citrus Fair off ramp, #2 lane closed 24/7 until October.




East Washington Street, Petaluma

Various lanes closed westbound East Washington Street between McDowell Boulevard and Southbound off ramp intersection beginning at 9:00 a.m. ending at 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.


Traffic delays are anticipated, and the use of alternate routes is advised when possible. Motorists are also advised that traffic violations in construction zones are subject to double fines. Real McCoy II Ferry Closed For Maintenance

                              Real McCoy II Ferry Closed For Maintenance
                                    Closure Scheduled Overnight Friday  
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily suspend service of the Real McCoy II Ferry late Friday night until early Saturday morning to perform regular preventive maintenance. The Real McCoy II is scheduled to be closed Friday, September 21st at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Saturday, September 22nd.
The Real McCoy II, also known as the Cache Slough Ferry, provides regular service on State Route 84 between Ryer Island and the city of Rio Vista in Solano County.
The delta region ferry normally runs scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the hour, 20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour.
Real McCoy II Ferry Detour
During Friday’s overnight service interruption, motorists are advised to use Highway 160 and the J-Mack Ferry along Highway 220.

State Route 128 Geyserville Bridge Resumes Daytime Lane Closures



Geyserville –The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has resumed daytime lane closures on the Geyserville Bridge on State Highway 128. The closures began Monday morning, September 17 and are scheduled to complete Friday, September 28, 2012. The working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Monday through Friday.

During work hours, one-way traffic control will be in effect. The traffic control will be managed with flag crews on both sides. There will also be a flagger on standby during school hours to assist pedestrians through the construction zone. Detour signs will be posted to assist motorists during closures.

Please drive cautiously and “Slow For The Cone Zone”. Caltrans appreciates your patience as we work to improve California’s highways.

Sonoma County – Here are the planned Caltrans lane closures in Sonoma County for the week of September 17. All closures are weather dependent and subject to change.


State Highway 1

SOLANO COUNTY – Highway 12 in the Delta Region has been reopened in both eastbound and westbound directions between Highway 160 and the Mokelumne River Bridge. The highway was reopened at approximately 1:30 p.m. The stretch was closed early this morning following a deadly big rig accident.

One Day Paving On State Route 35 in San Bruno

  


San Mateo County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin work on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 to grind and repave the roadway and repair a pothole at the junction of State Route 35 and Westborough/Sharp Park Road in San Bruno between the hours of 9:30 am. To 3:30 pm.

Detour:
Northbound Route 35 to eastbound King Drive, first right to southbound Callen Boulevard, next right to Westborough Boulevard taking you westbound over to the junction of Route 35 and Westborough/Sharp Park Road.

Crews will close the two left turn lanes from northbound Route 35 to westbound Sharp Park Road. Two northbound lanes will remain open during construction.

Motorists are advised to expect minor delays and to use alternate routes. Please be alert for workers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

SOLANO COUNTY – Highway 12 in the Delta Region remains closed in both eastbound and westbound directions between Highway 160 and the Mokelumne River Bridge due to a deadly big rig accident. Crews are estimating possibly reopening the highway at 1 p.m.

As of 8 a.m, the CHP has closed the exits onto Highway 12 from Interstate 5. Caltrans has activated its changeable message signs alerting motorists in the area.                                     Closure Scheduled Overnight Thursday

The Real McCoy II is scheduled to be closed Thursday, September 13th at 10 p.m. until 1a.m on Friday, September 14th.

NIGHT DEMOLITION OF FORMER N/B I880 BRIDGE ROADWAY STRUCTURE RESUMES TONIGHT, TUESDAY, SEPT. 11, THROUGH FRIDAY, SEPT. 14, 2012

ALAMEDA COUNTY Construction crews will resume nighttime demolition activities to remove the old northbound (n/b) Interstate 880 bridge roadway, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11 through Friday, Sept. 14 with some lane closures expected in both directions during demolition construction.

Some lane closures on s/b I-880 will begin at 7 p.m. and northbound I-880 lane closures will start at 8 p.m. At least one lane will be open on both northbound and southbound sides. No detours for n/b or s/b I-880 are scheduled at this time.

High Street and 42nd Avenue will be closed to allow crews to safely conduct nighttime demolition of the bridge structure from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Local residents should anticipate some noise, due to the nature of this construction event. Please contact Gregory Townsend to address any specific concerns you may have during the demolition. Caltrans will make every effort to minimize noise and other potential disruptions during this time, while making safety our top priority.
