9th
NAPA AND SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans), the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), and the
Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency (NCTPA) are starting temporary
road striping, and continuing with earthwork and safety barrier placement as
crews work to widen Highway 12 through Jameson Canyon in Napa and Solano
Counties.
One-Way Traffic Controls Starting Tuesday
To ensure
worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on Highway
12 between Highway 29 and Red Top Road beginning Monday night, September 10th
at 10 p.m. and be completed on Saturday, September 15th at 5 a.m.
Alternating
lane closures will start Monday through Friday at 10 p.m. and conclude the
following mornings at 5 a.m. During one-way traffic controls, one lane of
traffic will remain open at all times with flaggers alternating eastbound and
westbound traffic.
All work is
weather permitting.
The
California Highway Patrol (CHP) will help direct motorists. Caltrans will also
install
changeable
message signs. Motorists should allow for extra travel time.
Additional
project information is posted on the Caltrans’ Highway 12-Jameson Canyon webpage at: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist4/12jamesoncanyon/
