Traffic advisory
State Route 12 from Potato slough in san
joaquin county
to the san Joaquin/Sacramento County Line
San
Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation
(Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on State Route 12 (SR-12) from
Potato Slough to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for paving.
Work will begin on Monday, April 21, 2014,
through Friday,
April 25, 2014, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 20 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever
possible.
Construction
is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic
incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and
construction related issues.
This work is part of the $47 million Bouldin
Island Rehabilitation Project. This project will construct a new roadway to replace the
existing SR-12 between the Potato Slough and the Mokelumne River Bridges. The
project will improve safety by constructing a concrete median barrier with
five-foot inside shoulders and eight-foot outside shoulders with rumble strips
and is scheduled for completion in 2017.
