U.S. 101 / State Route 116 Construction in Petaluma
Northbound Ramp Closures Tonight for U.S. 101/State Route
116 Interchange
Full Freeway Closures Scheduled at U.S. 101 Petaluma
Boulevard S. Interchange
Petaluma, Sonoma County – Tonight Caltrans from 10
p.m. to 5 a.m. will close the northbound U.S. 101 on-ramp from State Route (SR)
116/Lakeville Road and the northbound U.S. 101 off-ramp to SR 116/Lakeville
Road. This closure is necessary to
realign the northbound on-ramp.
From
just north of the Sonoma County line to the Kenilworth Pedestrian Overcrossing,
Caltrans will close one northbound lane this Thursday, September 19, and Friday
night, September 20, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. One southbound lane will also be
closed Friday night, September 20, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
UPDATED CLOSURE INFORMATION
Caltrans has scheduled full freeway closures for
U.S. 101 at the Petaluma Boulevard South interchange from Tuesday, September 24th
through Friday, September 27th, to install falsework to begin
construction of the new interchange. Falsework is a temporary structure that
will support the components of a bridge during construction.
Caltrans has scheduled the following full freeway closures:
- Northbound
U.S. 101 will be closed Tuesday night, September
24th, and Wednesday night, September 25th, from
11:59 p.m. to 6 a.m. If work is not completed on September 25th,
it will continue on Thursday, September 26th, from 11:59 p.m.
to 6 a.m.
- Detour: Follow construction detour
signs. During this closure, Caltrans will temporarily reopen the former
Petaluma Boulevard South off-ramp. Motorists will exit at Petaluma
Boulevard South, continue to the northbound Petaluma Boulevard South
on-ramp, and return to the freeway.
- Southbound U.S. 101 will be closed Thursday night,
September 26th, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., and Friday night,
September 27th, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Detour: Exit at State Route (SR)
116, turn left on Lakeville Highway, continue to SR 37, turn right, and
continue to U.S. 101.
