Highway 12-Jameson Canyon
Overnight Closures Scheduled
For Week of September 30th
NAPA AND SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) will implement ongoing drainage work and safety
barrier placement.
The work
which is part of the Highway 12 Jameson Canyon widening project in Napa and
Solano Counties will require five additional nights of full overnight highway
closures starting Monday, September 30th.
The overnight closures on Highway 12 Jameson Canyon
previously scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th, Thursday,
September 26th and Friday, September 27th remain in
effect. Those closures are from 11 p.m.
until 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Full Overnight Highway Closures-Starting
Monday, September 30th
Five nights
of ongoing full highway closures on Highway 12 between Highway 29 and Red Top
Road are scheduled. The full highway closures are scheduled to start on Monday,
September 30th until the morning of Saturday, October 5th at 5 a.m. Closures
will start each night Monday through Friday at 11 p.m. and conclude the
following morning at 5 a.m. All work is weather permitting.
Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Detour
During the
overnight highway closures, eastbound Highway 12 motorists are advised to use
southbound Highway 29 to eastbound Highway 37 to eastbound Interstate 80.
Westbound Highway 12 motorists should use westbound Interstate 80 to westbound
Highway 37 to northbound Highway 29.
Local access
is available for Jameson Canyon residents and emergency vehicles only. The
California Highway Patrol (CHP) will help direct motorists. Caltrans will also
install changeable message signs. Motorists should allow for extra travel
time.
