U.S. 101 / State Route 116 Construction
in Petaluma
Night Closure on Friday for SR 116 at U.S.
101 Interchange
Petaluma, Sonoma County – Caltrans has scheduled a full
closure of State Route 116 on Friday night, May 17, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., to
continue demolition of a portion of the southbound U.S. 101 bridge. Eastbound
and westbound SR 116 will be closed to motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. Detour: During this closure, traffic
should detour to Caulfield Lane and S. McDowell Boulevard.
This work is weather dependent. If it is delayed due to weather conditions,
it will be rescheduled for a later time. Please
drive cautiously through the construction zone and leave a safe traveling
distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you. Please remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

There is no detour to 116 it just puts you back on the 101. Just spent 3 and a half hours in that mess. Nightmare.
