Lynch Road-Temporary Closures Start Tonight

NAPA AND SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a key phase of the Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Widening Project which will require the four to six month closure of Lynch Road in Napa County.

Lynch Road between Highway 12 and Polson Road will be closed starting tonight, Thursday, May 2nd at 10 p.m.  The Lynch Road closure is temporary with the possibility of it reopening as early as four months.

During the closure, crews will need to complete four phases of major work on Lynch Road. The work includes:
1.    Realigning Lynch Road with the new widened section of Highway 12
2.    Completing median work on Highway12 near Lynch Road
3.    Building a drainage crossing under Highway 12 and over Fagan Creek
4.    Widening Highway 12 eastbound and westbound near Lynch Road

Local Lynch Road Detour:
Residents and local traffic should exit Highway 12 at Kirkland Ranch Road and access Lynch Road from Kirkland Ranch Road.

One-Way Traffic Controls-Highway 12
