One Way Traffic Control Signal Installed on State Route 1 in San Mateo County


San Mateo County- Caltrans has activated a one way traffic signal on State Route 1 at post mile 17.1, two miles south of State Route 84 near San Gregorio Beach. The one way traffic control signal will enable construction crews to repair an embankment in the northbound direction by constructing Rock Slope protection as part of an emergency project issued by District 4.

The one way traffic control signal was installed on April 23, 2013 and will remain in place until July 15, 2013 when the project is scheduled for completion.

One lane will remain open to motorists during this repair. Changeable message signs and informational signs will be used to direct motorists.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes. Please be alert for workers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
