Paving Project to Begin on State Route 128 in
Napa County
Napa - The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a four day grind and pave project in Napa
County on Sunday April 21, 2013. The work will consist of removing existing
pavement and applying new asphalt. Caltrans will be closing State Route 128
from the intersection of State Route 29 to the intersection of State Route 128
and Silverado Trail. All traffic will be detoured to local streets.
The work will
begin Sunday April 21, 2013 from 8:00 pm. To 6:00 a.m. and continue for 10 hour
shifts until Thursday morning April 25, 2013. Caltrans will place “No Parking”
signs from the intersection of State Route 29 to approximately 1500 feet east
on State Route 128. Any vehicle parked in this location will be subject to tow.
Note: All emergency personnel, such as Police,
Fire and emergency medical, will be allowed through the work zone.
The schedule
is as follows:
April 21,
2013 – Northbound State Route 29 at Oakville Grade 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m with
alternating lane closures. No Delays expected.
April 22,
2013 – Westbound State Route 128 at State Route 29 Rutherford 8:00 p.m. to 6:00
a.m with a full closure.
April 23,
2013 – Southbound State Route 29 at
Mondavi Winery 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m with alternating lane closures. No delays
expected.
April 24,
2013 – Southbound State Route 29 at Washington Street 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m
with alternating lane closures. No delays expected.
Detour signs will be posted to
assist motorists during closures. Please
drive cautiously and slow for the cone zone.
