Highway 12-Jameson Canyon
Closures
Scheduled Overnight Wednesday
NAPA AND SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans), the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), and the
Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency (NCTPA) will be moving safety
barriers Wednesday night as part of the Highway 12 Jameson Canyon Widening
Project in Napa and Solano Counties.
One-Way Traffic Controls
To ensure
worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on Highway
12 between Highway 29 and Lynch Road in Napa County beginning Wednesday, April
17th at 10 p.m. and be completed on Saturday, April 20th at 5 a.m.
During
one-way traffic controls, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times
with flaggers alternating eastbound and westbound traffic. The traffic controls
will be in effect Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday starting at 10 p.m. and be
completed the following mornings at 5 a.m. All work is weather permitting.
Full Overnight Highway Closures
In addition, Highway
12 between between Highway 29 and Red Top Road are scheduled to be closed for
approximately one-hour between Wednesday at 11 p.m. and Thursday at 5 a.m.
During the closure, CHP will be escorting an oversize permit-load through the
construction zone which will require a temporary highway closure.
Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Detour
During the
overnight highway closure, eastbound Highway 12 motorists are advised to use
southbound Highway 29 to eastbound Highway 37 to eastbound Interstate 80.
Westbound Highway 12 motorists should use westbound Interstate 80 to westbound
Highway 37 to northbound Highway 29.
Local access
is available for Jameson Canyon residents and emergency vehicles only. Caltrans
will also install electronic message signs. Motorists should allow for extra travel
