Petaluma, Sonoma County – Saturday morning, June 13, Caltrans will open a new northbound off-ramp from U.S. Route 101 to State Route (SR) 116. The new exit will be located about 500 ft. feet after crossing the Petaluma River Bridge. Exiting traffic will proceed across the newly constructed northbound bridge over SR 116 and onto the new off-ramp. Opening the new off-ramp will require several lane and ramp closures:
• The northbound U.S. Route 101 off-ramp to SR 116 will be closed Thursday night, June 11, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Friday night, June 12, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• One lane of northbound U.S. Route 101 will be closed from Petaluma Boulevard South to Caulfield Lane, Thursday night, June 11, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Friday night, June 12, from 11:59 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Detour: exit northbound U.S. Route 101 at Petaluma Boulevard South or East Washington Street to reach your destination.
• This work is weather dependent. If work is cancelled due to weather conditions, closures will be rescheduled.
Please drive cautiously through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and Slow for the Cone Zone. The California Highway Patrol will be on site during closures.
