Interstate 680-Rehabilitation Project
Between Fairfield and Benicia
Overnight Alternating Ramp and Lane Closures
Week of June 12 and June 15

SOLANO COUNTY– Caltrans has started construction of the Interstate 680 (I-680) Rehabilitation Project in Solano County which will rehabilitate and repave approximately 13-miles of northbound and southbound I-680 between Benicia and Fairfield.

Although no full highway closures are scheduled at this time, motorists may experience delays as crews work to repave I-680 with intermittent, overnight, alternating ramp and lane closures. Specific ramp closure, and detour signs will be posted. All work is weather permitting. The project will be completed as early as spring 2016.

I-680 Construction-Week of June 12 and June 15
During the week of Friday, June 12, and the week of Monday, June 15, crews are scheduled to pave northbound and southbound I-680 between Benicia and Fairfield.

To ensure worker and public safety, one of the two traffic lanes on northbound I-680 between Benicia & Fairfield will be closed Friday, June 12, Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16 starting at 10:00PM each night until 5:00AM the following mornings.

In the southbound direction, one of the two traffic lanes on southbound I-680 between Benicia & Fairfield will be closed on Wednesday, June 17, Thursday, June 18, and Friday June 19 starting at 10:00PM each night until 5:00AM the following mornings.
