UPDATE: U.S. 101/State Route 116 Construction
Closures
for Petaluma Boulevard South Rescheduled
Full Closures of Southbound U.S. 101
Continue for Girder Installation
Petaluma, Sonoma County
– Full closures of
southbound U.S. 101 at the Petaluma Bridge continue but Caltrans has
rescheduled the closures for Petaluma Boulevard South and for flagging traffic
on the Petaluma River. Petaluma Boulevard South will be closed Tuesday night,
June 10 and Thursday night, June 12. When the crane is in operation over the
river, there will be brief closures for river traffic on Friday night, June 13.
Petaluma Boulevard South Closures at U.S. 101
- Tuesday night, June 10
9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- Thursday night, June 12
9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Southbound U.S. 101 Closure Schedule
- Tuesday night, June 10 – Thursday night,
June 12
10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- Friday night, June 13
11 p.m. to 5 a.m. – River
traffic will have flagger.
- Detour:
southbound
U.S. 101 traffic will exit at State Route 116/Lakeville Highway, turn left
on Lakeville Highway, continue to State Route 37, and turn right to return
to U.S. 101 (detour is approximately 17 miles, or 20 minutes).
If
this work is delayed due to weather conditions, it will be rescheduled. Please
drive cautiously through the construction zone and leave a safe traveling
distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you. Please remember to Slow for the Cone Zone.
The California Highway Patrol will be on site during these closures.
