U.S. 101 / State Route 116 Construction in Petaluma
Full Closures Planned for SR 116 at U.S. 101 Interchange

Petaluma, Sonoma County – Caltrans has scheduled full closures of State Route 116 at the U.S. 101 interchange on Thursday night, July 18, and Friday night, July 19, to install falsework for the construction project. Falsework is a temporary structure that supports the components of the bridge during construction.

Eastbound State Route 116 will be closed Thursday night, July 18, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday morning, and on Friday night, July 19, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Westbound SR 116 will be closed Thursday night, July 18, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday morning, and on Friday night, July 19, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday morning.  Detour: During this closure, traffic should detour to Caulfield Lane and S. McDowell Boulevard.

This work is weather dependent.  If it is delayed due to weather conditions, it will be rescheduled for a later time. Please drive cautiously through the construction zone and leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.  Please remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
