Highway 1-Tom Lantos Tunnels
One-Way Traffic Controls for Saturday Night, July 20th

SAN MATEO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will need to perform miscellaneous paving (AC) along the north and south approach roads of the Tom Lantos Tunnels on Highway 1 in San Mateo County.

Saturday, July 20th -Lane Closure Overnight
To ensure worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be switching from the northbound bore to the southbound bore throughout the night of July 20th at the Highway 1-Tom Lantos Tunnels.

The overnight work is scheduled for Saturday, July 20th. The work will start at 7 p.m. and will be completed the following morning at 7 a.m.

During one-way traffic controls, one lane of traffic through one of the tunnels will remain open at all times with flaggers alternating northbound and southbound traffic.

All work is weather permitting. Motorists should allow for extra travel time.

Additional project information is posted on the Caltrans’ Highway 1-Devil’s Slide webpage at: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist4/dslide/

Caltrans appreciates your patience as we work to improve the highways.
