Westbound I-80 at Green Valley Road-Fairfield
Overnight Lane Closures
Start Wednesday, January 14 at 8PM

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) are continuing work on the Interstate-80/Interstate-680/Highway 12 Interchange Project in Fairfield.

Starting the night of Wednesday, January 14, crews will install solar-powered construction warning signs, warning beacons, and stripe temporary traffic lanes on westbound Interstate-80 (I-80) near the Green Valley Road exit.

Westbound I-80-Overnight Lane Closures
To ensure worker and public safety, up to three of the four traffic lanes on westbound
I-80 near the Green Valley Road exit will be closed starting Wednesday, January 14 at 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM on Thursday, January 15. One westbound traffic lane will remain open at all times.

Motorists should expect delays. All work is weather permitting. The posted speed limit through the construction zone on westbound I-80 in Fairfield is 55 miles per hour. Please remember to “Move Over” or “Slow Down”, it’s the law. #workzonealert

I-80/I-680/Highway-12 Project Improvements:
A new Green Valley Road overcrossing is being constructed above I-80 about 200 feet east of the existing overcrossing. The new overcrossing will have twice the number of lanes (4) as the existing overcrossing (2), along with a new on ramp to westbound I-80/Highway-12. The connector ramp from westbound I-80 to Highway-12 also will be widened from one lane to two lanes.
