FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Highway
160-Three-Mile Slough Bridge near Rio Vista
One-Way
Traffic Controls July 23 and July 24
SACRAMENTO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform electrical
work on the Three-Mile Slough Bridge on Highway 160 near Rio Vista this week.
The
work is scheduled to be performed on Wednesday, July 23, and Thursday, July 24.
Work will start at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. each day.
All
work is weather permitting.
Crews
will replace overhead street lights with LED street lights on the bridge.
To
ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect.
Crews will alternate lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions. This
will allow one lane on the bridge to remain open during the work. Flaggers will
help direct traffic. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel
time.
Please drive cautiously and leave a safe
traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.
Caltrans appreciates your patience as we work
to maintain California’s bridges.
For
boat and ship traffic, the bridge will operate normally for any vessels passing
underneath it along Three Mile Slough.
