Intermittent
Closures Near Rio Vista Start Tuesday, February 11th
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will replace dozens of center divider posts called
channelizers on Highway 12 between Rio Vista and Suisun City. The channelizers
have become worn and damaged over time.
The
three-day project is scheduled to start Tuesday, February 11th.
Weather
permitting, work will start each day Tuesday, February 11th, Wednesday, February
12h, and Thursday, February 13th at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.
Intermittent Highway 12 Closures:
To
ensure public and worker safety, intermittent closures of Highway 12
between Drouin Drive in Rio Vista
and Denverton Road near Suisun City are scheduled.
Crews
will close the highway in both directions for 10 minutes at a time then reopen
the highway to release traffic. CHP will help direct motorists in both
eastbound and westbound directions. Motorists should expect delays and allow
for extra travel time.
Please drive carefully and leave a safe
traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.
Caltrans appreciates your patience as we work
to maintain our highways.
