Highway 1-Devil’s Slide
One-Way Traffic Controls Scheduled For Tomorrow Morning
SAN MATEO COUNTY – The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) will need to stabilize a portion of Highway
1/Cabrillo Highway near Devil’s Slide in San Mateo County due to this weekend’s
heavy rain storms. The work is needed to prevent further erosion before the
next rain storms arrive.
One-Way Traffic Controls-December 4th
Starting at 9 a.m.
To ensure
worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on Highway
1 between Linda Mar Boulevard in Pacific and the North Portal bridge area of
Devil’s Slide beginning Tuesday, December 4th at 9 a.m. and be completed at
approximately 3 p.m. that same day.
During
one-way traffic controls, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times
with flaggers alternating northbound and southbound traffic. All work is
weather permitting.
The
California Highway Patrol (CHP) will help direct motorists. Caltrans will also
install changeable message signs. Motorists should allow for extra travel
time.
Additional
project information is posted on the Caltrans’ Highway 1-Devil’s Slide webpage
