State Route 29 Between Napa and St. Helena
Overnight One-Way Traffic Controls
Paving Work Begins
Monday, May 21, 2018-Fall 2018
NAPA COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to begin major roadway pavement work on State Route 29 (SR-29) in Napa County.
This is part of a long-term project to repair the pavement on State Route 29 (SR-29) between Napa and just south of St. Helena. Preliminary drainage work started in March 2018.
The valley temperatures are now warm enough for crews to begin paving 12-miles of SR-29 between north of Trancas Street in Napa and Mee Lane in the County of Napa.
Overnight Work Starts May 21, 2018
Paving work starts Monday, May 21 until fall 2018. Work is scheduled Mondays-Fridays starting at 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following mornings. All work is weather permitting
No work is scheduled on the following holiday/regional event dates:
• May 25-May 28, 2018……………...Memorial Day/Bottle Rock
• July 2-July 8, 2018………………… Independence Day
• August 31-September 3, 2018….... Labor Day/Harvest
One-Way Traffic Controls-Expect Delays
To ensure worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect during the work on SR-29. Crews will alternate lane closures in both northbound and southbound directions. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
