FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 12-Santa Rosa
Concrete Median Installation Project
Watch For Restriped Lanes and Temporary Lane Shift
May 2018 Until October 2018

SONOMA COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has started a long-term project on State Route-12 (SR-12) in Santa Rosa to install concrete median barriers, repave the roadway, replace culverts and repair and replace multiple traffic signal lights.

The project is located on SR-12 between Farmers Lane and Brush Creek Road.

Work started Thursday, May 3, 2018 and is scheduled to be completed by October 2018.

Crews will work Monday-Friday starting each night at 8:00 PM until 7:00 AM the following mornings. All work is weather permitting.

The first stage of the project will involve installing a concrete median barrier on SR-12 starting in May, 2018 which will be completed as early as June 2018.

The second stage will include work on the right shoulder of eastbound SR-12. The shoulder work will start in mid-June 2018 and be completed as early as October 2018.

Motorists should drive with caution in the construction zone and watch for restriped lanes and a temporary lane shift which will be in effect until the project is completed. Temporary concrete safety barriers will be installed at night in the median of SR-12 starting the week of May 6.

Nearby businesses and residents may temporarily experience increased noise levels during construction. Crews will work to complete the work in a safe and timely manner.

Caltrans thanks you for your patience as we work to maintain California’s highways.
