FULL FREEWAY NIGHT CLOSURES ON N/B AND S/B LANES
OF I-880 AT DAVIS STREET BRIDGE NEXT WEEK

ALAMEDA COUNTY – Caltrans will conduct full freeway night closures of the southbound and northbound lanes of Interstate 880 (I-880) at the Davis Street Bridge to safely remove falsework underneath the bridge, in the City of San Leandro.

The first closure will take place on the southbound lanes at midnight Monday, January 13, 2014, from 12:01 A.M. to 4 A.M.  All northbound lanes will reopen Monday morning by 5 A.M. 

The second closure will take place on the southbound lanes at midnight Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 12:01 A.M. to 4 A.M.  All southbound lanes will reopen Tuesday morning by 5 A.M. 

The third closure will take place on the northbound lanes at midnight Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 12:01 A.M. to 4 A.M.  All northbound lanes will reopen Wednesday morning by 5 A.M

The fourth closure will take place on the northbound lanes at midnight Thursday, January 16, 2014, from 12:01 A.M. to 4 A.M.  All northbound lanes will reopen Thursday morning by 5 A.M

All southbound traffic will be detoured at Davis St. offramp, and directed right back onto the freeway at Davis St. onramp.  Northbound traffic will be directed at Davis St. offramp and back onto the freeway at Davis St. onramp.

Flaggers will be posted at the construction zone to assist motorists detouring on and off the freeway.  Caltrans appreciates your patience as we work to improve the highways.  Please remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
