Weekly Lane Closures for the San Mateo County Route 82
Smart Corridor Project
                         
San Mateo County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled the following lane closures for the week of August 12, 2013, through August 16, 2013 as part of the Route 82 (El Camino Real) Smart Corridor project.

Caltrans crews will install an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) system that provides traffic management tools to manage traffic on local streets and State Route 82. Improvements include, a fiber optic communication system, interconnection of local and State traffic signals, trailblazer signs, message signs, vehicle detection systems and fixed cameras. This system will run from the City of San Bruno to Redwood City.

Partners include: (C/CAG) City and County of Associated Governments of San Mateo County, US Department of Transportation-Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the following Cities, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, San Mateo, Belmont, San Carlos and Redwood City.

Construction is expected to be completed in October, 2013. (Weather Permitting)

U.S. 101 Old Redwood Highway Interchange Improvement Project
Caltrans to Close Right Lane of Old Redwood Highway North

Petaluma, Sonoma County – Caltrans will close one lane of northbound Old Redwood Highway North in Petaluma on Monday, August 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The right turn lane of northbound Old Redwood Highway will be closed between the northbound U.S. 101 off-ramp and North McDowell Boulevard.

Two Lanes Blocked on Westbound I-80 in San Francisco


San Francisco– Two lanes remain blocked on westbound Interstate 80 near Fifth Street, just west of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, due to a truck fire. The new estimated time of opening is 12:00 noon.  Travelers are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.

Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Closures Scheduled Overnight Starting Sunday, August 4th


NAPA AND SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be paving traffic lanes on eastbound and westbound Highway 12-Jameson Canyon starting Sunday, August 4th at 11 p.m. The work is part of the Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Widening Project.  

This current stage of work starting August 4th and concluding the morning of August 10th will require full overnight highway closures.

Full Overnight Highway Closures
To ensure worker and public safety, eastbound and westbound Highway 12 between Highway 29 and Red Top Road is scheduled to be closed overnights starting Sunday, August 4th at 11 p.m. until Saturday, August 10th at 5 a.m. The closures will be in effect starting at 11 p.m. each night, Sunday through Friday, until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Detour
During the overnight highway closures, eastbound Highway 12 motorists are advised to use southbound Highway 29 to eastbound Highway 37 to eastbound Interstate 80. Westbound Highway 12 motorists should use westbound Interstate 80 to westbound Highway 37 to northbound Highway 29.

Local access is available for Jameson Canyon residents and emergency vehicles only. Caltrans will also install electronic message signs. All work is weather permitting.

Highway 12 and Interstate 80 Paving Work Overnight Connector and Lane Closures in Fairfield-Suisun City

SOLANO COUNTY- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will make pavement repairs to Highway 12 between Suisun City and Fairfield starting Sunday, August 4th. Paving work is also scheduled on the westbound Highway 12 connector to westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield starting Wednesday, August 7th.

Highway 12-Suisun City-Fairfield-Alternating Lane Closures
To ensure worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on Highway 12 in Suisun City beginning Sunday, August 4th at 7 p.m. until Wednesday, August 7th at 5 a.m. The alternating closures will be in effect starting at 7 p.m. each night, Sunday through Tuesday, until 5 a.m. the following mornings.

During one-way traffic controls, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times with flaggers alternating eastbound and westbound traffic. All work is weather permitting.

Westbound Highway 12 to westbound I-80 Connector Closed-Detours
As part of the work, the westbound Highway 12 connector to westbound I-80 will be closed overnights starting Wednesday, August 7th at 7 p.m. until Friday, August 9th
at 5 a.m. The closures will be in effect, Wednesday through Friday, starting at 7 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

During the connector closure, motorists will be detoured off Highway 12 to Chadbourne Road, then onto westbound I-80 from the Abernathy/Suisun Valley Parkway on ramp.
CHP will help direct motorists with detour signs posted. Motorists should allow for extra travel time. Caltrans appreciates your patience as we work to maintain the highway.

NIGHT CLOSURE SCHEDULE FOR EASTBOUND LANES, N/B AND S/B I-880 ONRAMPS TO MISSION BLVD (SR-262) IN FREEMONT CONTINUE THIS WEEK

ALAMEDA – Temporary night closures of Mission Boulevard eastbound lanes between Warm Springs Boulevard and I-880, in the City of Fremont, will continue this week through Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 to allow for ongoing construction of a new railroad bridge structure over Mission Blvd. The closures include from north and southbound I-880 on-ramps to Mission Blvd.

Night lane closure hours for eastbound Mission Blvd. are as follows:

·         Wednesday night – Thursday morning, July 31 - Aug. 1; 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
·         Thursday night – Friday morning, Aug. 1 - 2: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
·         Friday night – Saturday morning, Aug. 2 – 3; 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
·         Saturday night – Sunday morning, Aug. 3 – 4; 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Detour routes for Eastbound Closures:

·         Motorists using northbound I-880: Northbound Fremont Boulevard to eastbound Auto Mall Parkway to southbound Warm Springs Boulevard.
·         Motorists using southbound I-880: Eastbound Auto Mall Parkway to southbound Warm Springs Boulevard, or to southbound I-680 to Mission Boulevard.  Note: Warren Avenue is closed between Kato Road and Mission Falls Court and cannot be used as an alternate for Mission Boulevard.
