FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Daytime Lane Reductions in Pacifica Near State Route 1
Due to Pedestrian Overcrossing Construction
Tuesday, April 2 – Wednesday, April 3

PACIFICA - Caltrans is scheduled to implement one-way-traffic controls on some city streets in Pacifica due to paving work related to the construction of the new San Jose Avenue pedestrian overcrossing above State Route 1.

During daytime construction, one-way traffic controls are scheduled on Francisco Boulevard from Salada Avenue to San Jose Avenue. Oceana Boulevard in front of Eureka Square Plaza will also be under one-way traffic controls. Some street parking spaces may also be affected.

Work is scheduled Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Each day, work will start at 9:00 AM and be completed by 5:00 PM.
During one-way traffic controls, crews will alternate lane closures in each traffic direction on Francisco and Oceana Boulevards. Motorists should expect delays.
The new San Jose pedestrian overcrossing is being built just north of the site of the old structure. Caltrans expects to complete the new overcrossing in late April 2019.

A shuttle service is currently available to transport pedestrians across the freeway until the new overcrossing opens. Pedestrians can call the shuttle from the shuttle stops at each end of the overcrossing. The shuttle is available around the clock.
