REVISED - Closure of 23rd Avenue Overcrossing in Oakland
To Install Joint Seals Along the Entire Width of the Overcrossing
Friday, March 15 at 10pm until Monday March 18, 2019 at 5am.
OAKLAND – Caltrans is implementing a full overcrossing (OC) closure at 23rd Avenue over Interstate 880 (I-880) in Oakland, Alameda County to install joint seals across the entire width of the 23rd Avenue OC. The OC will not be open to traffic for the entire weekend of March 15, 2019.
Detour Details – Use 29th Ave. Overcrossing to Access Eastside of I-880
• Turn left on E. 7th Street; turn left onto Kennedy Street; turn right again on 23rd Avenue and follow traffic circle; use the 29th Avenue Overcrossing to go over I-880; turn left onto E. 12th Street; then left onto 22nd Avenue.
Closure Information
• FULL CLOSURE: 23rd Avenue OC starting Friday, March 15, at 10:00 PM until Monday, March 18, at 05:00AM
Traffic Controls Measures:
Changeable message signs and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. This work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if necessary. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute.
