FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Highway 84-Paving Rehab Work
Rio Vista Project Scheduled To Start September
3rd
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is starting a paving rehabilitation project on
northbound and southbound Highway 84 between Highway 12 near the Rio Vista
Bridge and the Cache Slough Ferry/Real McCoy Ferry Slip in Solano County.
The work is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September
3rd and be completed by Friday, October 25th. Work will start each day Monday through Friday
at 6 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. All work is weather permitting.
To
ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on
Highway 84 between Rio Vista and the Real McCoy Ferry Slip. Crews will
alternate lane closures in both northbound and southbound directions. This will
allow one lane on the highway to remain open during the work.
Flaggers
will help direct traffic. Caltrans will also install portable message signs alerting
drivers to the project. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra
travel time.
Thank
you for your patience as we work to maintain the highways.
