Eastbound Interstate-780 at East 2^nd Street in Benicia

On-ramp and Off-ramp closed Due to overturned Big Rig

SOLANO COUNTY –The on-ramp and off-ramp from eastbound Interstate 780 at East 2^nd Street in Benicia are closed after a big rig overturned this morning. As of 11 a.m., both the on-ramp and off-ramp are still closed. Crews estimate reopening the ramps at approximately 3 p.m. The big rig was carrying non-hazardous medical supplies.

During the ramp closures, motorists exiting East 2^nd Street are advised to continue on eastbound I-780 and exit Southhampton Road and enter westbound I-780 and exit East 2^nd Street from westbound I-780. Motorists entering I-780 from East 2^nd Street are advised to enter I-780 from Southhampton Road or East 5^th Street.

Drivers are advised to expect delays and if possible take alternate routes.
