Real McCoy II Ferry
Closed For Follow Up of Repairs
Closure Scheduled
Overnight Wednesday
SOLANO COUNTY –
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily
suspend service of the Real McCoy II Ferry late Wednesday night until early
Thursday morning to follow up with necessary repairs made earlier this week.
The Real McCoy II is scheduled to be closed
Wednesday, October 17th at 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Thursday, October 18th.
This is a precautionary measure to ensure
that the objectives of recent repairs were met and the boat is operating well
under normal conditions.
The Real McCoy II, also known as the Cache
Slough Ferry, provides regular service on State Route 84 between Ryer Island
and the city of Rio Vista in Solano County.
The delta region ferry normally runs
scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the hour, 20 minutes after the hour,
and 40 minutes after the hour.
Real McCoy II Ferry Detour
During Wednesday’s overnight service
interruption, motorists are advised to use Highway 160 and the J-Mack Ferry
along Highway 220.
