FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
U.S. 101 Airport Blvd. Interchange
Project
New Ramps to Open July 17
SONOMA COUNTY – Caltrans has scheduled lane and ramp closures on July 17,
2014 for the U.S. 101 Airport Blvd. Interchange Project.
Opening of Ramps at the U.S. 101
Airport Boulevard Interchange
On
Thursday, July 17, Caltrans will adjust the timing of new traffic signals for
both the northbound off-ramp to Airport Boulevard and the southbound on-ramps
to U.S. 101. This work will enable Caltrans to open the new on-ramp and
off-ramp at the Airport Boulevard Interchange.
- From
6 a.m. to 12 noon, Caltrans will close one northbound lane of U.S. 101 and
remove k-rail from the new northbound off-ramp. The traffic signal will be
timed and the off-ramp will remain open.
- Once
the new northbound off-ramp is open, the Fulton Road off-ramp will be
closed.
- From
1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Caltrans will close one southbound lane of U.S. 101 and
remove k-rail from the southbound loop on-ramp and the new diagonal southbound
on-ramp. The traffic signal will be timed and the southbound on-ramps will
remain open.
- Once
the southbound on-ramps are open, the Fulton Road on-ramp will be closed.
Continuing
this week and next week there will be additional closures for lanes and ramps
as the contractor does final paving for the project. Please drive cautiously
through the construction zone and leave a safe traveling distance between your
vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you. Please
remember to Slow for the Cone Zone. The California Highway Patrol will be on
site during these lane and ramp closures.
