23rd/29th Avenue Project Construction Fruitvale Station Shopping Center in Oakland



ALAMEDA COUNTY The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue a reconfiguration of the Fruitvale Station Shopping Center parking lot. Construction has begun and will be ongoing until August 22st. During construction the Fruitvale Center parking lot will be partially closed to the public.

Once completed, a new parking lot will be constructed in place of the old parking lot at Fruitvale Station Shopping Center.

During construction residents are expected to have increased levels of noise and limited parking at the parking lot.  Motorists should expect delays during closure hours and are advised to use alternative routes if possible. Interstate 880 23rd/29th Avenue Project Construction Fruitvale Station Shopping Center



ALAMEDA COUNTY The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue a reconfiguration of the Fruitvale Station Shopping Center parking lot in Oakland. Lisbon Avenue in Oakland to Close at East 8th Street



ALAMEDA COUNTY The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close freeway access to Interstate 880 northbound at Lisbon Avenue in Oakland for three consecutive weeks beginning August 4th. During the closure, Caltrans will complete construction of a temporary onramp on East 8th street just north of 29th Ave along northbound Interstate 880 freeway.

During construction, 8th Street between Lisbon Ave. and Portwood Ave. will be restricted to Local Traffic Only.

During construction residents are expected to have increased levels of noise. Motorists should expect delays during closure hours and are advised to use alternative routes if possible.

Full Nighttime closures continue at Maze Structure In Oakland

ALAMEDA COUNTY–The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be continuing night time full closures in Oakland on westbound Interstate 580 to eastbound Interstate 80 connector along with Interstate 580 westbound MacArthur On-ramp from July 7th through July 12th.

Caltrans has scheduled additional construction activities on westbound Interstate 80 to eastbound 580 connector starting on July 8th. Construction is expected to be ongoing until September 2014.

Full Closures of 580 West – 80 East Connector and 580 West MacArthur On-ramp
July 7th through July 12th, 2014
Sunday through Thursday 11:00 P.M - 5:00 A.M.
Friday night and Saturday night 11:59 A.M. - 7:00 A.M.

Full Closures of Westbound Interstate 80 to Eastbound Interstate 580 connector and 580 East MacArthur Off-ramp:
July 8th  through August 15th, 2014
Sunday through Thursday 11:00 P.M - 5:00 A.M.
Friday night until Saturday morning 11:59 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.

Motorists are advised to use the following detour during the work. Detour Signs will also be posted. All work is weather permitting.

Detour for Interstate 580 West to Interstate 80 East traffic:
Motorists will continue on Interstate 80 west towards San Francisco, take “PARKING LOT EXIT ONLY” exit on the left to the Toll Plaza parking lot, and merge to Interstate 80 east.

Detour for Interstate 580 West MacArthur on-ramp traffic:
Motorists will turn right on San Pablo Ave (alternatively turn right on Hollis St), turn left on Powell St and merge to the 80E.

Detour for Interstate 80 West to Interstate 580 East traffic:
Motorists will continue to Interstate 880 South, exit at the West Grand Ave off-ramp, turn right on West Grand Ave and merge to the 580 east Maritime/West Grand on-ramp.

Detour for Interstate 580 East MacArthur off-ramp traffic:
Motorists will take the next exit to Webster St.

Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

Davis Street Demolition and Full Freeway Closure

Davis Street Demolition and Full Freeway Closure



ALAMEDA, CA The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin demolition work on the Davis Street bridge in San Leandro. The demolition work will start as early as July 7th 2014 and continue until July 24th 2014 .

The majority of the work will be performed at night with lane closures on I-880. Lane closures and full freeway closures will be in both the northbound 880 and southbound
880 directions. Full freeway closures will be in one direction only each night. The lane closure hours are 9:00 PM 5:00 AM on weeknights and 10:00PM - 8:00 AM on weekend nights. Demolition may occur between any of the above mentioned hours.

Full Freeway Closure Hours: Northbound 880:
     Weeknights 12:01 AM - 4:00 AM,
     12:01 AM - 5:00 AM on Friday night/Saturday morning
     12:01AM - 7:00AM on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Southbound 880:
     Weeknights 12:01AM - 4:00AM
     12:01 AM - 6:00 AM on Friday night/Saturday morning.
     12:01 AM - 7:00 AM on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Detour
The detours will take all freeway traffic off I-880 at Davis Street off-ramp and direct them across Davis Street onto the on-ramp.

During demolition residents are expected to have increased levels of noise. Motorists should expect delays during full freeway closure hours and are advised to use alternative routes if possible.
