Full Closures Due to Earthquake Inspections

SOLANO COUNTY –State Route 29/Sonoma Boulevard between Florida and Capitol Streets in Vallejo remains closed as of 5:50 p.m. as crews from Caltrans and other local agencies conduct inspections related to yesterday’s earthquake.

Motorists on northbound and southbound SR-29 through Downtown Vallejo will be detoured by law enforcement. Drivers should expect delays and if possible take alternate routes.

At this time, there is no estimated time of reopening.

Crews are inspecting a church located along SR-29 which was damaged during yesterday’s earthquake.

Eastbound Interstate-780 to Westbound I-80

Connector Closure during Landscape & Litter Effort Start Wednesday, May 28th

 

SOLANO COUNTY – Caltrans, the City of Vallejo, and several area agencies join forces in the eighth phase of a key partnership to beautify main entrances and thoroughfares in Vallejo through the “Vallejo Interagency Partnership” (VIP) program.

The major landscaping maintenance and litter abatement effort includes work on eastbound Interstate-780 from Lemon Street to the westbound I-80 connector. 

The two-day major maintenance effort starts Wednesday, May 28^th and concludes on Thursday, May 29th.  Work starts each day at 9 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. All work is weather permitting.  

Crews from Caltrans, the City of Vallejo, and other agencies will trim-back overgrown trees, clear drains, weed, mow, and clear-out trash, and debris along I-780, I-80, and adjacent onramps.

Eastbound I-780 connector to Westbound I-80 closed:

To ensure worker and public safety, the eastbound I-780 connector to westbound I-80 will be closed during the work. Detour signs will be posted. Motorists should allow extra travel time and watch for crews working on ramps and shoulders.

The far right lane of eastbound I-780 between Lemon Street and the I-80 interchange will also be closed.

Magazine Street On-ramp and Off-ramp closed

Due to Landscaping Work

                  

SOLANO COUNTY –The on-ramp and off-ramp from westbound Interstate 80 at Magazine Street in Vallejo will be closed for two consecutive days as Caltrans crews continue to perform shoulder, landscaping and tree work started on Tuesday, May 20th. 

For public and worker safety, the westbound I-80 on-ramp and off-ramp at Magazine Street will be closed for two days: Wednesday, May 21^st and Thursday, May 22^nd. The closures will be in effect each day starting at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.

As part of the work, the far-right-lane of westbound I-80 between I-780 and Magazine Street will also be closed. 

Westbound I-80-Magazine Street Exit Detours:

Motorists headed onto westbound I-80 from Magazine Street will be detoured onto Lincoln Road West, then back onto westbound I-80.

Motorists exiting westbound I-80 from Magazine Street will be detoured onto Maritime Academy Drive, and onto northbound Highway 29.

Detour signs will be posted. Please watch for crews working and allow for extra travel time. All work is weather permitting.

Crews from Caltrans, the City of Vallejo, and other area agencies will trim-back overgrown trees, clear storm drains, weed, mow and clear-out trash and debris along  eastbound I-80 and adjacent onramps.

This is the sixth phase of a key partnership among Caltrans, the City, and several area agencies to beautify main entrances and thoroughfares in Vallejo through the “Vallejo Interagency Partnership” (VIP) program.

Motorists using the following onramps and offramps from eastbound I-80 may experience or encounter ramp closures and detours starting Monday, December 9^th

To ensure worker and public safety, the westbound Highway 37 onramp from Fairgrounds Drive will be closed. The following detour will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day: Motorists entering westbound 37 from Fairgrounds Drive should continue on southbound Fairgrounds Drive, then eastbound on Redwood Street (proceeding across the I-80 overcrossing), then northbound on Admiral Callahan Lane, then enter eastbound I-80, then exit westbound Highway 37.

                   I-80 to Highway 37 Connector Work Starts Monday

  

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the City of Vallejo will be working together in a joint effort to improve safety for motorists traveling the busy Interstate 80 and Highway 37 interchange in Vallejo.

The five-day major maintenance effort starts Monday, March 25th and will conclude on Friday, March 29th.  Work will start each day at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. All work is weather permitting.  

Crews from both Caltrans and the City of Vallejo will be trimming back overgrown trees, making major guardrail repair, weeding, mowing and clearing-out trash and debris along the I-80 and Highway 37 connector ramps and adjacent onramps.

This is the fourth phase of a new partnership between Caltrans and the City of Vallejo to increase maintenance efforts in the area as part of the “Vallejo Interagency Partnership” VIP program.

To ensure worker and public safety during the work, the following work will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day:

Monday, March 25th

Westbound I-80 to Highway 37 Connectors

Motorists are advised to continue to watch for crews working on highway shoulders on eastbound and westbound Highway 37 near Fairgrounds Drive. All lanes will be open.

Tuesday, March 26^th

Columbus Parkway Onramp to Highway 37

Columbus Parkway onramp to westbound Highway 37 will be closed.

Wednesday, March 27^th

Westbound I-80 Connector to Fairgrounds Drive

The #2 lane from the westbound I-80 connector to westbound Highway 37 will be closed.

Thursday, March 28^th

Crews will be working at various sites along Highway 37 near Fairgrounds Drive. All lanes and ramps will remain open.

Friday, March 29^th

All connector ramps from Highway 37 to eastbound and westbound I-80 

Sweeper trucks will have moving closures on all connector ramps from highway 37 to        I-80 at various times throughout the day. Watch for moving closures.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time and expect delays.
