Eastbound I-80 near Green Valley Road-Fairfield
Overnight Lane Closures-Start Thursday, February 19 at 10:00PM

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) are continuing work on the Interstate-80/Interstate-680/State Route-12 Interchange Project in Fairfield.
During the night of Thursday, February 19 crews will install temporary concrete safety barriers, and perform some preliminary structure work on the Green Valley Road overcrossing. This work will be on and adjacent to eastbound Interstate-80 (I-80) near the Green Valley Road exit in Fairfield. The overnight work is part of the ongoing I-80/I-680/SR-12 Interchange Project.

Eastbound I-80 near Green Valley Road exit-Overnight Lane Closures
To ensure worker and public safety, up to two of the five lanes on eastbound I-80 near the Green Valley Road exit in Fairfield will be closed on Thursday, February 19 at 10:00PM until Friday, February 20 at 5:00AM.

Motorists should expect delays. All work is weather permitting. The posted speed limit through the construction zone on eastbound I-80 in Fairfield is 55 miles per hour. Please remember to “Move Over” or “Slow Down”, it’s the law. #workzonealert

I-80/I-680/Highway-12 Project Improvements:
A new Green Valley Road overcrossing is being constructed just east of the existing overcrossing. It will have twice the number of lanes (4) as the existing overcrossing (2), along with a new on ramp to westbound I-80/SR-12. The connector ramp from westbound I-80 to westbound SR-12 also will be widened from one to two lanes.

Green Valley Road/I-80 Overcrossing-Project Updates
Week of October 26, 2014

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) will perform material delivery, erosion control, and drainage work on the Interstate-80/Interstate-680/Highway 12 Interchange Project in Fairfield during the week of October 26.

Westbound I-80 Onramp from Green Valley Road-Overnight Closure
For worker and public safety during drainage work, the westbound I-80 onramp from westbound Green Valley Road will be closed starting Sunday, October 26 at 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Monday, October 27.

Detour route
Motorists will be detoured onto the Green Valley Road overcrossing, then onto Lopes Road, then right to Red Top Road, and enter westbound I-80 from Red Top Road.

Flagging Operation-I-80 Green Valley Road Overcrossing
Starting Monday, October 27, motorists may also encounter intermittent daytime alternating lane closures on the eastbound and westbound approaches to the Green Valley Road/I-80 overcrossing. Material delivery is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. Motorists should watch for flaggers and expect delays.

Construction will proceed as weather allows into November 2014. During heavy construction, motorists should consider alternate routes.

Southbound Green Valley Rd/Lopes Rd (I-80 overcrossing)-Alternate route:
Motorists heading southbound on Green Valley Road/Lopes Road are advised to use eastbound Business Center Drive, to southbound Suisun Valley Road, then southbound Central Way, then eastbound Old Cordelia Road, then southbound Lopes Road.
