Full Freeway Closure of Hwy 1 in Pacifica for Construction
Of Replacement Pedestrian Overcrossing
Nighttime Closures: Sun.–Thur. / Sept. 23–27, 2018
PACIFICA - Caltrans will close Highway 1 in Pacifica between Clarendon Road and Paloma Avenue each weeknight from Sunday, September 23 - Thursday, September 27 to allow work crews to erect temporary support structures (falsework) at the San Jose Avenue pedestrian overcrossing (POC).
The San Jose POC is being replaced with a new pedestrian overcrossing currently being built 80-feet to the north of the old structure. Caltrans expects to complete construction of the new POC in November at which time the old POC will be demolished.
Closure Schedule
Sun -Thur. Sept. 23-27
Northbound: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Southbound: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Detours:
Northbound traffic will exit the freeway at Clarendon Road, continue north on Oceana Avenue, then re-enter the highway at Paloma
Southbound traffic will exit the freeway at Paloma Avenue, continue south on Francisco Boulevard, then re-enter the freeway at Clarendon Road.
